Who we are
The Global Cultural Peace Walk in Nepal (GCPW Nepal) is likely a grassroots initiative aimed at fostering peace, understanding, and cultural exchange. It might involve individuals from various backgrounds coming together to walk and engage in activities that promote cultural appreciation, dialogue, and harmony. As a loose forum, it likely operates with flexibility, allowing participants to organize events, discussions, and other activities along the route. This initiative could serve as a platform for building connections, raising awareness about cultural diversity, and advocating for peace-building efforts in Nepal and beyond with different actors since 2017 AD mainly “Walk with Cultural Peace Lamp”. GCPW Nepal is organizing the Walk with Cultural Peace Lamp of 2024 in collaboration of Peace Tourism, World Forum for Buddhism and Namo Buddha International Cities of Peace.
World Forum for Buddhism – on Peace is a dedicated platform where leaders, scholars, and practitioners from various Buddhist traditions come together to explore the fundamental teachings of Buddhism in fostering peace at individual, societal, and global levels. It serves as a catalyst for dialogue, collaboration, and action towards resolving conflicts, promoting social harmony, and cultivating inner peace. Through conferences, seminars, and initiatives, the forum seeks to harness the transformative power of Buddhist principles such as compassion, mindfulness, and non-violence to address contemporary challenges and contribute to a more peaceful world.
